O desenvolvimento de abutments personalizados tornou-se uma alternativa para modelos de restaurações estéticas nos implantes. A confecção pode ser preparada em laboratório ou no consultório, diretamente na boca do paciente. Pilar personalizado Procera, Nobel Biocare, se baseia no sistema CAD-CAM e é projetado pelo computador e enviado nas especificações exatas obtidas no processo de digitalização. Por não haver período que precede a instalação do pilar protético, o abutment personalizado proporciona melhora na estética, com um aspecto similar ao dente natural promovendo integração social e conforto. Existem vantagens quando o complexo mucogengival é delgado e transparente, evitando sombras acinzentadas na região peri-implantar. The development of custom abutments has become an alternative to models of aesthetic restorations on implants. The abutments can be prepared in the laboratory or in the office, inside the mouth. Custom abutment, launched by Nobel Biocare Procera, based on CAD-CAM system and is designed by computer and sent to make the exact specifications obtained in the scanning process. Because there is no period preceding the installation of the abutment, the abutment custom provides improvement in aesthetics, with an appearance similar to natural tooth promoting social integration and comfort. Also, it shows advantages when the mucus-gingival complex is thin and transparent gray shadows on the gums are then eliminated.
